"I love this skirt, but I will either have to alter it myself or pay to have someone else alter it. I wish I had sized down. I am loosing weight but the elastics in the waist band probably means I could have been gone down two sizes, which is wild. It is also very long and the design of the dress means you don’t just want to take it up at the waist or hem the bottom. I will probably take it up at one of the seams in the bottom half of the skirt."

I really appreciate all the thoughtful touches, like the pockets, the crocheted lace, and the way the waistband is fitted with elastic insets in back as well as a zipper and hook and eye. It's generously long--I'm 5' 7" and when I wear sandals the skirt hem brushes the floor--so I plan to take it up a little. I remember wearing prairie styles like this in the early '80s when I was an adolescent. This skirt is both nostalgic and beautiful in its own right!"
