Cute dress but runs small

"This is a cute dress and I bought it at full price and I bought it in size large. I also bought the bumblebee and sunglasses vintage dress from the same designer and they fit great in that size. This one is a bit tight around the waistband, so I guess going up a size is best, but I don’t want to do that because I think it won’t fit well everywhere else. I decided against an exchange. I’m just going to return it. I don’t think it’s worth the price. It does have a print that can be worn all year round but my big concern is the waistband area. I feel it runs a bit small but then again I could be wrong. Perhaps the size chart on this is just different."
