"If you’re writing a complaint or explaining the situation, you could phrase it more diplomatically: Unfortunately, the dress did not match the photos on the website. The fabric quality and overall appearance were quite different from what I expected based on the listing. Because of this, I decided to return it without trying it on. ModCloth received the returned item some time ago, but my refund has still not been processed despite multiple follow-up emails. I would appreciate an update on the status of my refund and an estimate of when it will be issued. Or, if you’re leaving a review: I was disappointed that the dress looked quite different in person than it did in the photos. The fabric and overall appearance did not meet my expectations, so I returned it immediately. Unfortunately, the return process has also been frustrating, as my refund has not yet been processed despite the item being received and several follow-up emails."
